They walked Howard after he did everything in his power to strike at a slow curve ball. Mike Schmidt is in the booth and he calmly chided Howard for swinging at such a ridiculous pitch.

Nice hit by Sizemore to get Howard to second and Utley at third. Dom Brown is up. Just put the ball in play Brown!

Marlins traded a double play for a run and Utley scores to put the Phils up 2-1.

Ruiz hits a nice fly ball that drops into left field and Howard scores. Phils up 3-1.

Hey jvett. I have a late game with the Rams so I was able to get the Phillies game in. Your Eagles are on tomorrow night if I am not mistaken. We are looking good in the seventh.

Retro, looks like we're on the way to our 70th win and only 9 games under .500. Only 10 more wins and we'd be fighting for the post season. The Phils have only scored 8 runs in these 3 games and I think we lucked out somewhat with Giancarlo out.

I agree jvett. Just 10 wins. That is small amount but with all things considered this team has fought back and that is a good sign.

It's been an aggravating season but when you spread 10 losses around, I think maybe a dozen more hits apiece by Howard and Brown, by Gwynn/Galvis, and a then full season of starts from Lee, it seems we could easily have been there. It all looks correctable if the right changes are made before a funk starts in '15.
