Well.... That was certainly anti-climactic.
Cashman suspects the fracture has been there all along and simply wasn't discovered early on.
Hairline fractures often get missed on initial x-rays, especially in long bones like the tibia, fibula, and femur. When that happens they don't get diagnosed until after the healing starts (like a week and a half to two weeks later). New bone growth is a lot easier to spot.That's some pretty sweet work by the team doctors!
