Agree. Meaning talk of drafting a QB top 5 mmake very little sense to me. Jerry builds for that year, not the future.

as the year goes along I am sure people will be looking for that top 10 safety, but I am sticking to my theory of the trenches.
Hope we draft DL in the 1st.

It depends on where this season goes. My opnion is if we remain a medicore team we need to go for the top DL and CB in the early rounds 1st and 2nd. If We go 6-10 or worse we have to get 1 of the 2 top qb's coming out. Eve if he sits a year behind Romo until his cap number is easier to absorb. I have always been a Romo fan/apologist...If this season has another poor finish at what point does this organization and fan base move on from Romo?

I can see your point if we don't think we can be competitive in 15. Drafting for the future is a wise way to build a team if you don't think you have what it currently takes to make a run. Now think about Jerry, will he ever see that we need a lot of help before we can compete. I admit I like to think we are not that far off but I can be convinced otherwise. Jerry on the other hand cannot.

Gregory adds 20 pounds and look out. He reminds me of ware. Freakish speed. Williams has been annoited top defesive player so far. Mariota seems to very mobile and great arm.

Not sold on Famous Jameous just yet. His release reminds me of Leftwich some. He reminds me of one of those that will fall when the combine starts.

He could also fall because there are some character issues.

Truth is it is early, but draft talk is always good. None of us know if Mariota will go 1st or mid 20's because leading into last season Manziel was considered a possible pick at #1 but we all know how the combine changes things, although I think in Marcus case it'll only solidify him as #1

Yeah, I think he'll do well there also. He's a good athlete, and physically he's pretty much what you want at the QB position.

Saw two DEs last night- one from Florida- Dante Fowler Jr , one from UK- Alvin Bud Dupree . If Lawrence is anything like Fowler, I would be extremely happy. The reason I compare those two - their speed is very similar and Florida was lining him up everywhere. Now he wasnt going up against Pro OTs either. Just two really good looking athletes and players.

I think Carr is going to be the still of this draft and I would not have been terribly upset had we drafted him. This kid can do everything. To bad he's stuck with the Raiders who have been just as brain dead as the Cowboys for a good while now.
