I replied to the tweets from all of the “experts” about my theory about the correlation of them upgrading the big screen above the batters eye vs the big production slump. I mean it sucks that, that’s when the M’s decided to run out at AAA lineup but somehow people are pretending the ballpark has always sucked. You didn’t hear about marine layer when it first opened. You started hearing about it around 2008 when it the offense sucked. Then when Cano and Cruz got here, everyone started laughing off the marine layer. And now it’s back

The park has always been fine. Hitters hit and crap players don't hit much and that's what we have.

Yeah it is weird that little league, school and college ball take practice to start a season. Spring training made sense way back in the day when players were slobs in the offseason and there wasn’t the interweb for older players to hopefully sign on with a team. But we got the interweb now and pro athletes (well most) take care of their body year round

I completely agree it's a fun trip to get away from the miserable winter but hell it takes too long to get the season started. I want to leave the shit season the Sixers are having for a shit season with the Mariners and yelling at fat Schwarber.

Not sure how to clip YouTube videos, but baseball America had their Mariners farm system review. And they said with a blind data thing or whatever, Michael Arroyo is the number 1 prospect for Seattle and number 2 overall. I feel vindicated

I posted a BA recap of Mariners prospects on the Spring Training thread yesterday I believe. 38 minutes but covered some good stuff. Gave pros and cons of several top prospects.

It was a good listen. I still completely disagree with the Montes defensive stuff but I’ve beat that dead horse.

But one thing that is weird is, ever prospect “expert” puts Colt Emerson as number 1, but every time someone talks about all they really do is point out the negatives and it’s weird. Almost all say he isn’t athletic enough to stay at SS and doesn’t have enough power or projected power to be a 3B. So I’m just really confused on what they see then that makes him a top prospect.

That is what I got out of the BA video I watched. Lacks power, probably can't stay at SS but he is clearly the #1 guy. HUH?

Yeah it’s just weird. The M’s have this loaded farm system but the number 1 guy is high average 2B? I mean I liked what they say, I just disagree with their defensive talk. I’ll admit I haven’t seen as much as they have but when I watched him at 3B, IMO that isn’t a position he can play. Maybe OF, I’m not sure

I don't see why he can't play SS. I mean Crawford plays it and he isn't the greatest and he comes with very little offense.

That is what I was thinking. Or if they keep Cole and Colt then let my dream come true of bring Young up at SS and make JP move to 2B
