I love how DiPoto is cleaning house, reminds me of Pete.

He really didn't have a choice on this one. He won't be ready to pitch at the start of the season, if ever, and he was out of options. So they would have had to keep him on roster and waste a spot or do this and send him down if he goes unclaimed.

We all knew he wasn't the right pick at the time. However I do really feel for the kid. Hopefully he can get healthy and catch on somewhere.

It's funny how many of the moves that Jack Z made were absolutely head scratching, and we all knew it. Most of our optimism was based primarily on the fact that we all hoped that he knew something we didn't about some of the guys he went after (Hultzen, Fister trade).

The fact that a bunch of random ass guys on a sports message board were right from the beginning about some of the moves that were made by the team really speaks volumes to the incompetence of the organization over the years.

Right, but considering everyone else he has unloaded it's looking reminiscent of Pete's first year. It's refreshing.

Hultzen is now under control through 2017 per reports I read.

I do as well. He's definitely putting his stamp on the team. Hopefully he's not doing that like Chip Kelly is in Philly. I like Hultzen.. tough break for the kid. He had a lot of potential in my opinion
