Mariners allowing another shitty pitcher to shine like he is Cy Young. Seen this fuck show too many times this year.

This is why conditioning is so important. Fucking pathetic effort by Paxton.
I didn't see the game but Paxton got the win, 7th in a row, tying the M's record for a starting pitcher for wins in a row... How was the performance pathetic ?
Impressive win. This was the type of game, in previous years, where Paxton would have imploded in the 5th and/or 6th innings when the Royals were small balling him and he got a couple of shitty calls from the home plate ump. But he kept the Mariners in the game. This game showcases the evolution of James Paxton as a pitcher and his mental approach to the game.
Paxton is a serious top 5 pitcher in the AL now. If any doubts still existed before this game, they should be gone now.
Nice job, Paxton.
If you were referring to the wild pitch allowing a run to score, Paxton beat him to the plate and just didn't catch the toss from Zunino. Had he done that, runner is easily out. Easy there big fella...This is why conditioning is so important. Fucking pathetic effort by Paxton.

I know you aren't referring to his overall pitching performance. Was it the play at home plate where he dropped the ball in what would have been an out if he had held the ball? This is why conditioning is so important. Fucking pathetic effort by Paxton.
Uh, nevuhmind. I guess I shoulda looked up.I know you aren't referring to his overall pitching performance. Was it the play at home plate where he dropped the ball in what would have been an out if he had held the ball?

He's gets a little wigged out when he has to field the ball. But he's done much better this year compared to previous seasons.Yeah. He pitched well, he just looked really bad on that play. Kind of an overreaction on my part though.
He has mediocre range, but as a stationary defender he might be the best out there.Hosmer has made some great plays tonight. He's a guy I wouldn't mind seeing the M's go after in free agency.
Kinda surprised to see his dWAR rated so poorly, every time I've seen him he looks like a very capable defender.
