I think we gave up a lot of prospects for a reliever that in my opinion falls into the category of frustrating to watch. He is going to walk guys and he is going to give up hits.

Overall I think he makes the bullpen better and deeper and the prospects we gave up are at least 3 years away from being relevant. Even Hernandez wasn't a guy I was sold on. I think this is a win for the Mariners, a very small win.

Great now get a starter!

The one plus side is the M's have depth in the outfield (farm system) and with the three already on the big roster, heck could even include Motter with them they can give up some of these younger guys...

Yeah, the Mariners have: Heredia, Haniger, Gamel, Kyle Lewis, Tyler O'Neill and Evan White (if they decide to move him to the outfield).

I could see them making O'Neill the centerpiece for a deal for a SP since he's nearly MLB ready and there isn't really a spot for him right now.

I wouldn't mind if it was seasonable old grizzy vet!

Worked in the old days for the M's why not give it a try to catch lightening in the bottle again!

Tyler Oneil has been raking lately. Wouldn't mind trading high on him for a legit #2 or 3 sp.

I doubt he's done because this shows that we're not going to settle for being sellers at the TD... I'd be surprised if we don't trade for a SP...

One of the reasons I like this team going forward is that there really isn't a hole in the roster aside from SP at this point. That's assuming that Zunino keeps playing the way he has recently.

I see what you're saying but it's tough to get too excited about this team imo... Whenever we get around the .500 we seem to fall... The next 2 weeks will make or break our season imo....

This is why we all get along so well on this forum. We could be 10 games above and we would be hypothesizing about how we could blow it.

LOL... It's their pattern... That's what keeps us skeptical...

They do enough to keep me interested but do not do enough to get me excited...

I almost miss the good old days when the Seahawks sucked under Holmgren's last year, Mora's first year and Carroll's first two years. Those were the good times when we could just say "Seattle" instead of one specific organization.
