My mind spits with an enormous kickback.
I'm not of the ilk to make a big deal about home road splits.
He takes advantage of his environment. Good for him. Bottom line is what he does to help win games. OPS+ is a fine enough measure for that. Don't need to divulge much further..
Home OPS is higher than road OPS in the MLB. And there is a reason, familiarity of the environment you call home.. OPS+ gauges the Value for what is an acceptable OPS for each park.
Now, as far as talent and ability? You would need to drive further than OPS+ . But it gets a bit mucky if we start using Road numbers as "true indicators" of talent. IMO
