Fall camp is less than a month away and typically signees find their way to Lincoln by now, but some get held up for one reason or another. Marcus Newby from Quince Orchard (Md.) Gaithersburg is one of the players from the 2013 class that is not in Lincoln yet. BigRedReport.com caught up with his father, Kenneth, tonight for the latest.
"Yes he is going to make it," Kenneth Newby said. "He's going to be reporting to Nebraska shortly. I would say probably in the next week or so. He will be out there and we are very excited to see him play for the Huskers."

This news about Newby making it to Nebraska before the start of fall camp comes after similar news about junior college transfer Randy Gregory who will also be in Lincoln soon. Gregory reported to BigRedReport last week that his last class finishes up on the 18th and will report the 26th or the 31st.

The last two members of the 2013 class to not make it to Lincoln yet are Chongo Kondolo, a junior college transfer offensive lineman from Fresno (Calif.), and Trevell Dixon a wide receiver/defensive back from Baldwin (La.) West St. Mary. Kondolo has reported that he will be in Lincoln in July and unofficial reports on Dixon say that he will also be in Lincoln later this summer.

It was never really in doubt, needed another class that's all, he's been cleared as well so he'll be in. Kondolo, Martinez, and Gregory are all in similar boats as they are all finishing up classes in June and reporting in July (finalizing transcripts). I believe Mixon is the same way. Dixon SHOULD be good to go as I believe he got a good enough score on his ACT, but as with everything with Dixon we won't know until he actually gets to campus.

Actually this guy sounds more believable than anyone who has ever attempted it, to be honest.

I didn't believe BRS from the get-go......but just never wanted to say it here on the forum because everyone (including myself) liked him. He was a nice fake person.

The thing with BRS was, it was easier for me than for the rest of the people here though probably.......

I worked in the same place (Nebraska Athletic Dept) that he said he supposedly worked........and the shit he was saying about that place was not adding up.......not even one bit.

That's fine, you don't have to believe me. I just bring what I read or hear, most of the time it's info anyone else can get their hands on. This academic info is all over all the recruiting sites, it's not really inside info at all.

Marcus Newby needed an Alegebra II class, he got it, finished it and will be here. The others you can just look at their school schedules and deduce from that both Kondolo and Martinez's schools didn't end until late June so they had to wait till July to get here. Mixon should get here under similar circumstances. The one wild card is Dixon, I've heard varying reports from Scout, Rivals and 247Sports some have said he won't qualify and some (like Scout) have indicated he will. Like I said we'll see.

I understand that... I don't get much inside info at all, sometimes I do because I know a few guys that are close with the AD, (like the fight). Most other info I gather comes from a multitude of sites and twitter. I don't ever quote directly, usually I summerize. I will be wrong sometimes, it is what it is. I'm sure there are people closer to the program than I am on this site.
