I read where he wants - $12 million a year for 4 years. That would be a lot of money in the WR position for the Broncos. It would be awesome into the future to have DT and Sanders there for Lynch as he grows up as a QB. At least the Broncos are negotiating.

Yeah he needs to come down a bit on that demand. I don't think we can do that with DT's contract as much as I love Manny and want to keep him around. Confident we can work on some sort of compromise though.

Have to think that is his starting point. Start high so you have some wiggle room.

I'm not against any player getting what the market dictates. I just wonder how long before the demand effects the market and the fan can't bail them out anymore. Can you imagine at this pace, what the top players will want in 10 yrs from now? We'll probably have to purchase a " Monday Night Football " package for $400.00 bucks a season to watch games by then. :(

He's definitely a weapon and I want to see him retained. But with the depth the team has at WR I can't imagine them being willing to pay that much. Even to Sanders. But who knows...Sanders was one of the best offensive players last year. Probably THE best offensive player from start to finish.

NFL games are still the most watched live events in TV. As long as that continues - it won't be metered by pay for view. The fact is teams have made more money at a faster rate than player salaries have gone up (sounds like the rest of America).

Geo's hotdog is going to go up 5 dollars after Von Miller signs.

That would be tough wouldn't it?

But I really don't see that happening. Way too popular, the NFL would lose a ton of money with fans not watching.

That will be the day NFL football dies to me I would never watch or follow again

I agree - I will just concentrate on the effort to exploit college kids.

The Broncos and Sanders have decided to cut off negotiations at this time.

To me this can me 2 things...

1) The Broncos are getting a bit more serious about getting something done with Von Miller and until we get that deal done hard to know what we will have available for next year against the Cap.

2) Broncos are low-balling him as they have a history of doing and Sanders knows the open market would pay him handsomely if he were to make it to market.

I think there are plenty of signs that point to that being true. Elway and Ellis have both talked to Von over the past week or so and it sounds like they have been speaking to Von's agent as well. So good combination that suggests both sides really want to get something done and will work hard for the next week to hammer something out.

Or option #3.

Denver knows they wont resign Miller and will now switch gears and go into full panic mode trying to trade him and get value while his value is sky high. At least that is starting to pick up steam .

So, Denver is not panicking enough to back the truck up and give him what he wants but they are panicking enough to trade him?

I seriously doubt this. We will see Denver chuck too much money at the guy before they go off to trade him.
