He never played special teams in college, he never played special teams last year and he hasn't played in any special teams thus far.

Guy is 6'5" 200, runs a 4.67 he isn't ever playing special teams.
I could very well mistaken and I prob am,but I thought I saw him back there on a couple kick returns at one time.

He isn't a return man, and even if he oddly gets a shot at it, he isn't going to be our return guy. He is long and lanky, he gets faster with strides not explosion.

Right- I understand it is just a prediction. Not saying you will be wrong, nobody knows. Just stating why I think he ends up back on the PS. Special teams reps, 40 aside I just don't see him as a special teams contributor here whereas some of the other WR's I do or have already. It really comes down to roster space.

Could be wrong.

Ask me again after camp and PS and I may like his chances better. Or he may not even be good enough for a PS spot. We will know more in July/August.

After camp - we won't need to answer you. ;)

If some other team picks him up - he is Eddie Mac -for them - that's my opinion.

He started off as a QB - became a WR late - still developing, but runs good routes - I have not noticed any problem with his hands - he went to Rice - I follow them because my son is a graduate from there.

Who said you needed to answer me?

Why does everyone think every tall white WR is the next Ed McCaffrey?

If you didn't notice a problem with his hands then you didn't watch him in college. There was a problem Mingo. I am not making this stuff up. He can easily improve on that, but I saw his drop passes with my own eyes and he has a rep on his scouting report for dropping passes. There was a reason he went undrafted, because he is very unpolished. He has a lot of raw talent, there is no doubt about that, but let's be honest in saying he has a long ways to go before we start hyping him as the next great player in the NFL. He is a project with a lot of upside.

I watched Sunshine in person last summer and he had a bad day dropping several balls in the end zone.
Sometimes there are practice studs and duds in primetime (see Daruis Watts) . Who knows what Taylor is but everyone seems to be betting on him based solely on a recommendation from Manning.

It isn't just Manning though. We are talking him getting unprovoked shout outs from Siemian, Kubiak, and Dennison just in the last couple of weeks for what he is doing on the field. Right now on the veteran days off when Sanders and DT sit out Sunshine is actually in that next group that gets to work with the 1's. So the coaches have moved him up the depth chart into that 3rd/4th WR spot on the team for his work.

I don't want people thinking I am rooting against Taylor or don't think he can improve on his weaknesses, rather I am just saying I need to see his improvement with my own eyes before I give him a roster spot, and with his lack of not playing special teams he is gonna have to be really good in camp at the WR position to win a job on the active roster.

Trust me I hope he is the next Jerry Rice, Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss, whoever, but he has a long ways to go. He is a project worth developing and that is probably on the PS again, sure won't hurt him at all to grow a bit more.

Too early to get excited but indication is that Corey Nelson has taken a step up.

Good to hear. Crazy to think that our ILB position honestly could have better talent than last year because our depth guys have really grown in the system that much. Honestly I am pulling for Nelson to win the job. I do think he is the best coverage ILB of the group beyond Marshall. In today's NFL that is almost the more important quality for a player to have.

The report from yesterday singled out Taylor and Latimer from the WR's vying for roster room. Just one day, but he is at least starting off well.

We aren't hyping him - I am - let's be clear. It's not that he dropped passes in college - he converted from another position - it is the trend line. In his senior he was very sure handed. As usual with me - I'm sticking my neck out and making an early call - instead of mouthing the conventional - internet - highlight film wisdom.

He dropped a lot of passes. It's something he can improve on. It was the same issue Gerrel Robinson had in college. Some overcome it, some don't, we will see. Hopefully for us he establishes the best pair of hands this side of the Mississippi.

Least we got by without any injuries this year. Last year we lost Heuerman during this little get together.

Like on No injuries. So far around league has been minimal especially compared to last year.

Yes, knock on wood. I wonder if teams are changing a lil something in their workout schedule this early.
Come July they will start racking up.
