I'd be much more excited if he had better hands. DHB is always in the back of my mind when I see him.

His hands are fine

"The misnomer on him was he had bad hands because he had seven or eight drops this year," Mayock said. "My perspective, and I watched every target on tape, is that he's got great hands, just some dumb concentration drops. At his pro day, just as importantly, and maybe more so than what he ran in the 40, he caught everything. And he's a natural hand snatcher."

Wings, it's gotten so bad that you're quoting Mayock?

I think if we're taking WR at 20 Nelson Agholor is a better pick. At the pro level what separates receivers is route running and hands ... two areas where Perriman doesn't check the boxes. Agholor reminds me a good deal of Reggie Wayne ... a very smart receiver you can line up in the slot or outside who can run the sharp routes and rely on to make the catch on non-perfect throws. You also have to remember that most people started jumping on the Perriman bandwagon (not Wings as he's been a Perriman backer for a while) "after" he ran his 40. This isn't a 40 at the Combine, it was his Pro Day where most people run faster times than they post at the Combine. For Perriman to continue his college success at the pro level he's going to have to work hard on improving his route running and hands ... especially if it's in a Chip Kelly Offense. That's not to say that Perriman can't be a very good receiver at the pro level ... it's just that DB's aren't as easy to beat at the pro level with just good speed; you need to make tough catches (where hands make or break you) and lose your defender by running precise routes as opposed to just simple routes (like you can get away with in college).

I like the Reggie Wayne comparison to Agholor, but I see Perriman as a Julio Jones type. Test numbers or not, Perriman has Julio Jones type movement on tape -- Greg Cosell called this one long before the combine or pro days. There was a good amount of talk about Perriman as a first round pick by multiple scouts before he ran his 40. Same could be said for Agholor's rise from late 2nd to a possible 1st rounder, to possibly the #20th overall pick.

Agholor is definitely the more polished player, but Perriman's upside is absolutely massive. I think his hands issue is being overblown quite a bit -- the kid makes a ton of acrobatic and contested catches, but yes he will have his concentration drops here and there.

Did you not believe me when I posted this on the other thread last night? He's on the Eagles radar.

He better be on the Eagles radar lol….but we'll have to trade up if we want a shot at him IMO

I think he will be around at 20. However, I still feel that Chip goes defense with 1st pick. It's possible we move up? At this point, I have no idea what Chip is thinking. I'll just wait until Thursday to find out.

I've said for a long time that Perriman reminds me of T.O. without the drama. He is an absolute star in the making. I like Agholor as well so i'd be cool with it...I don't see the Raggie Wayne comparison though.

Wayne ran great routes, had excellent hands and made the tuff catches ... Agholor has the same attributes plus he's a very cerebral player just like Wayne was. Agholor also compares a bit to Maclin who did very well in Chip's system. We already have a guy with size in Matthews ... I think Agholor is a better compliment to Matthews than Perriman would be. Perriman does have excellent potential ... I won't argue that; I do like him a good deal as well; I just wouldn't draft him over Agholor for "this" situation. On a different team where the team may be a bit further from contention I would possibly take Perriman ahead of Agholor as he may have that higher upside; but I think he's just going to need more time to sharpen his game than Agholor would.

Agholor is a plug-n-play WR. Perriman is exciting to be sure, either one will be a boom for the Eagles.
Regarding Jke fisher, I think he's a 2nd rd pick, but like him a lot. Reminds me of Lane Johnson.

It's misinformation time.... We may be looking at a reciever but I don't think Perriman is the target.

Perriman isn't going before 20. No way. If that many WRs go that early, other studs have to fall.
