VV's got to learn how to work out and lose bad weight first. Also, going full go every rep would help. Right now he's a bit buried on the depth chart as far as I can tell.... looks like Randle, Williams, Curry and Collins ahead of guys like VV, Maurice, Guy, Nickens and Okuyemi. I hope VV pans out but he has to get his butt in gear.

I think DE spot will be ok but that it for the DL

Lb and secondary is talented and bo will have to tweak and make up for a weak DL

IF BO KEEPS IT SIMPLE AND LET'S THE BOYS FLY THIS DEFENSE HAS THE CHANCE TO BE VERY VERY GOOD

Also I think 3-4 and 3-3-5 in certain situation would be good


I still think DL play is gonna be the difference but.... If the lb and secondary play lights out they can soften the blow of having a weak DL.

Bo should go back to his big12 defense days and let speed reign on the field .

Not too far out of bounds IMO.

Nebraska is starting 18th in the coaches. The AP pre-season poll comes out this Saturday and I expect they'll be ranked somewhere between 18-25.

If they have their typical four losses to include the last 2 they could be a #26 to #28 team in the final polls.

They could beat Michigan St or Northwestern and still end up behind them in the final polls. 'When you lose' is a big determining factor in them.

Crick had 9.5 sacks with Suh... in 2010... Crick had more tackles, more tackles for loss and... 9.5 sacks. He was fine. He will always be remembered for his lackluster senior year though and that's too bad.

no bold prediction from me, I'm horrible at that stuff. agree with the comments that this season really seems to be on the DL. I think that talent is there at LB and secondary, just need some, especially on the interior to step it up. Sounds like between Gregory, Ankrah and some of the others DE might be okay.

as far as SI, thats just a load of crap. I don't mind NU being outside of the top 25, but putting MSU in the top 15 just loses all credibility.
