Wow.
Against the Yankees no less? The Mariners sure are picking stupid games to use up their promotional gimmicks, the series against the Yankees is one of the few that are actually hot tickets these days. No need to throw in a stupid gimmick of a talentless sellout to get people in the ballpark.
If the Mariners want to use marketing tactics to get people in the ballpark, plan more fireworks nights. I went to the first fireworks night last year and it was honestly quite impressive and I really enjoyed it.
But seriously, am I the only one that thinks it is pathetic that the Mariners are leeching off of Macklemore's recent fame to try to get people into the ballpark? Before he got popular, he performed at opening day for the Mariners and it appeared as if 3/4 of those in attendance were not even paying attention.
