I'd take DAT on the field. Goodwin is a sprinter which probably helped him in the 40.

And i think DAT is probably faster on a football field in pads not starting out in track position on the blocks. If they both had to catch a punt and run 40 yards I think DAT would win the race. Also, his 40 time should be pretty close next year (in the 4.3 range).

Goodwin got ZERO touches against OU. None. Zilch. Nada. The last 7 weeks he had 7 touches. He got 33 touches on the SEASON.

And sorry Oregon fans, DAT is not even close to faster than Goodwin

Goodwin wasn't the only one with olympic speed either. DJ Monroe couldn't get touches either. He breaks a 66 yard TD run on OU in the first quarter a few years back......and doesn't see the field again for the next 4 games. Unbelievable.

Mack isn't completely to blame, since he doesn't make offensive calls. But our OCs have to do a better job of getting guys the ball.

We literally have speed like that at every offensive position outside of OL, QB and TE. We also have comparable speed at LB and DB.......but this coaching staff is KILLING US with bonehead playcalls and dumb personnel groupings and flat our underutilization of the IMMENSE TALENT on this team. If Saban were coaching, this roster would be undefeated champs, no question.

This is why Mack has to go.

5 separate scouts clocked Goodwin at 4.19.......so YES I AM. A 6th clocked him at 4.17.

DAT isnt going to come close to those numbers. He's closer to DJ Monroe, who may be faster than DAT as well. DAT's speed is nothing special compared to quite a number of players out there.

It's hand timed though. He ran a 4.27. He is really fast, but with pads on playing football I think dat could be just as fast. Goodwins time is faster but would he win a race in pads starting standing up? I don't know

I think it is for him AND the AD. Dodds isn't going to fire Mack, no matter what happens. He's 76, he's not going through another coaching search. Despite all the losses and utter beatdowns, Texas STILL eclipsed 100 million in revenue for football alone, an NCAA first. The only way these dudes leave is when they decide to quit.

I think that depresses me the most. This program has turned into a bank, instead of a commitment to excellence and competing for titles annually.
