Been saying he should be the guy in Philly. And he should bring Gentry in to run the offense. Would be a great hire for an almost toxic locker room.

Whoever the 76ers pick as their new HC I hope it's the wrong hire. I don't want to see them get better.

Think he'll hire AI as an assistant?

He really isn't a good coach, but he did bring the best out of Kyrie

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Especially with Lue.

Donovan has a certain amount of success that can be attributed to his coaching.

Because of his trips to the finals and winning a title, Lue has a better resume, but most give the credit for that to Lebron.

Donovan is the safer choice, but if it turns out that Lue can actually coach, he might be the better choice.

On the other hand, if it turns out he can't, it could derail a rebuild for a few years.

I just want the candidate to come in with a binder of sets/plays that he/she plans on running to make the most efficient use out of the team.

I want the candidate to do everything in their power to condition/motivate Embiid.
I want the candidate to do everything in their power to motivate Simmons to shoot.

Brett Brown was the perfect Process coach to move this team along during the Process.
Now they need someone that isn't going to be their 'friend' and coddle them.
There's no reason why this team shouldn't be top 5 in defense.
That's where we start.

Deciphering the offense will be a lot more difficult, but clearly, Brown couldn't unlock the potential of Simmons and they tired of waiting.

Agree. Any coach that they hire needs to make getting through to Embiid and Simmons the top priority and not be afraid to call them out.

If a coach does that, one of two things should happen. Either the Sixers will learn that it's time to move on from either one or both of them...

Or they will have a contending team for the next several years.
