Im a big fan of RGIII. But he is injury prone with all the scrambling he does. Luck is an awful good pockets passer but im more of a fan of a QB that can scramble

I would refute both of those statements. As others have mentioned Luck is mobile & can scramble (he has very good speed - just not the world class speed of RG3).

As for RG3 - we will see - but if the other night is any indication I believe that he will cut back somewhat on the running & pass a lot from the pocket as well as rolling out & passing & running. This - along with more common sense - should provide better protection from injuries.

Guy already has a great football sense can run if he wants but relies on the pocket and progression. A second year QB should not be that savvy. I don't see him fighting injuries his career.

not really. a brace will protect you in early stages so you don't do something small like twist or because of proprioceptive loss, lose our balance and put stress on the knee that will re-injure the tissues. That's it.

If the knee is still that weak, so he won't twist on some bad turf and tear it. It's not going to do anything when he's in a pile of 300+ pounders putting a hit on him or running down field and goes to make a cut. Like I said, a matter of time.

Brady used a brace for a year. Carson Palmer used a brace for a year. They have recovered and have been in the league for awhile with no issues. The brace is to stop the knee from bending backwards. A QB is more apt to have this happen with guys hitting them around the knee when they step forward to pass the ball. All it is used for is to give the QB more comfort when they step into a pass that they will not have any issues.

To see this on these boards is appalling to me. So what you are saying is that if anyone does not agree with you then they are a Redskin fan, Black or stupid. To make that statement just shows how ignorant you are. This is the same type of conversation that people have over Payton or Tom. Both are great. This conversation will have an answer in 5 years, but to have it now is just too premature.

The ligament he tore has nothing to do with bending backwards. In fact that is one of the strongest and least affected ligaments. I know lots of people wear braces, doesn't mean anything. It will prevent a very weak area from being re-injured doing everyday stuff right after surgery. After rehab and things are strengthened, it does nothing other than get put on and taken off.

I think RG3 is a great talent, but I'd take Luck ever time if I had to choose now. Why won't anyone not take the talent that looks like he can stay in piece over a great talent that hasn't shown he can stay healthy? It doesn't matter if your talking college or pros, RG3 hasn't stayed healthy yet and Luck looks like a rock with all the same talent. Luck hands down. With that being said I'm pretty dang happy with Russell Wilson.

RG3 will probably be more spectacular, make more highlight plays, but I'd take Luck...I just think he'll play at the level he's at or better for a longer period.
