I wouldn't mind seeing them win the South.

I think it's interesting that most people are really rooting for Loyola as an inspirational cinderella and Nevada is 'just a team'. And I kind of think that way too.

Technically, they're both mid-majors.

The Nevada "thing" has an illusion of something that's kind of sinister. Undeserved for sure.
Maybe a lot of fans don't see a difference between Nevada and the Tark teams at Las Vegas.
Dunno ... Loyola being from Chicago is a difference. Nevada just is on ... what, west-coast time.

Nevada has had some marginal success within the last 15 years or so. I think that's why they aren't considered quite the mid-major Loyola is.

Yeah that's true too. If the MVC was what it once was with Creighton and Wichita State, and loyola was still this good, I don't think they end up as an 11 seed, and probably wouldn't be the story they currently are.

Yeah, I have seen some questionable teams go on runs to the Sweet 16. Loyola isn't one of those teams. Ranked #35 on kenpom

Loyola hasn't been to the dance since 1985 and no one was expecting them to this year. It's truly a Cinderella story.
