F'n Patino got Providence off the bubble. He could take a church league team to FF.

Lmao I was talking Damian Lee.

Pitino can stay away

I don't know if he survives this one jonvi... I'm hearing that people in and around the program are fearful that the banner may be coming down.
I don't know if that will happen or not, but this isn't the first time the rumor mill has churned with Rick being out at the end of the year.

I for one hope that's not the case since Cal has basically owned him while at UK. :nutswing:

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Cal is going to own Pitino's successor as well, unless Calipari loses his touch.

Is it time for college basketball without Rick Pitino? Maybe it is.

I'll take Bob Huggins and about a dozen others over him any damn day.

SU assistant coming back to roost. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking of it.

Sex on the hill is back!

How in the world do you impose a ban for this season in February? Really feel bad for those seniors. Just awful

Whenever schools self impose these bans it should be for the following season. The only reason they don't do that is they don't want to hurt recruiting but they fucked up anyway. Pay for it. At least the recruits and transfers should be allowed to know before hand.

Also put yourself in Damion Lee's shoes. Grad student decides to transfer to Louisville only to find out halfway through his last season of CBB that he won't be able to play in the postseason. Fucked up

Syracuse self-imposes basketball tourney ban

They did it on the one year anniversary of Syracuse's self-imposed post-season ban.

The NCAA still gets to accept the self imposed ban....after the school rolls the dice to self impose.
So don't hate the player...hate the game.

Pretty simple why.

If they wait til next year they lose recruits and players transfer.

Scumbags.

Yeah scumbags is the right word. If I'm a senior I would not want to play anymore

The main reason I would would be to try to impress the scouts at the games and hope to improve my draft position. Walking out would really hurt that I believe unless you have no shot of getting drafted to begin with.

This news on top of SMU's postseason ban means two at-large spots will open up at the end of the bracket. It was already setting up to be a bad bubble year, and this just makes it worse.
