Maybe next year the Oilers will make the playoffs.
EDM will have Hopkins, Hall, Yakupov. Three #1 overall picks. They better not waste this chance to contend.
sounds like this team in San Jose...

When did SJ ever have 3 #1picks? let alone 3 in a row??? I honestly dont remember SJ ever having the #1 pick... Im honestly drawing a blank. Year 1 they did that stupid desperial draft shit with Minn so they wouldnt get Lindros. Even that record setting shitty year, I dont think they had the #1 pick... The year with Marleau? that wasnt No1, Staurt, that wasnt No1. the Riihiijarvii year? No, that was like #7.... has SJ ever even had a No. 1 pick?
The sharks have never had the #1 overall, the one year they were going to get it, the year they came into exsistance they got boned by the league and were stuck with Pat Falloon they couldve gotten Lindros
It's my understanding that picking 2nd instead of 1st was the price the Sharks had to pay to get into the league a year earlier than scheduled. Sharks were supposed to join the NHL for the 92/93 season with Tampa Bay and Ottawa but pushed to join in 91/92. The NHL felt they were doing this so they could draft Lindros thus part of the agreement to let the team join early was to forefit the 1st overall pick but they were allowed both a despersal and expansion draft instead of just an expansion.
