Kings look to improve their overall defense game after giving up another 40+ shots against Philly.

Also can someone make the GDT for tomorrow's game against the Red Wings? Cause.... I'm gonna kind of be at the game. I'll post pictures on here when I can.

Yeah I guess he got the call over Weal due to some bonus that Weal could earn by playing in so many games that would put him over the max amount allowed. That tells me they aren't all that confident that Lewis and/or Kopitar aren't all that close to being able to play. That or they are just being overly cautious.

Typical Kings play. Before the game Stoll is interviewed and says the Kings have to stay out of the penalty box so what do they do? Of course take 3 penalties in the first 10 minutes (maybe less) of the first period. Give the Penguins with the best power play in the league a 5-on-3 advantage and get themselves behind 1-0 early.

Nothing can be done on the goal though by Jones, it was a good screen and tip in. Jones had no chance.

With no other threat than "That 70's Line" the Penguins are having a pretty easy time shutting down the Kings offense. Just put your best defensive players out against Carter and the Kids and with them having the last line change being the home team that isn't much of a challenge.

Don't forget no Gaborik and Lewis (one of the better defensive forwards on the Kings roster). Then there's Voynov (a top 4 defenseman) and his suspension problem. Pretty undermanned Kings team but that's no excuse for taking so many penalties. Especially after saying in pre-game interviews they had to play hard but stay out of the penalty box and not give the Penguins lethal power play chances.

Good game fellas, I know this wasn't the real Kings team tonight, so don't feel bad about the loss. Much different game if the Kings were at full strength.
