Trying to limit minutes I would guess. They do have another game to play tomorrow in Montreal.

When the 70s line was really clicking, early in the season, they played limited minutes. Sutter said it was because they were not really fast, but by letting them rest they could go all out when they were on the ice.
Maybe he remembered that, because they had a good game. It doesn't hurt that Kopitar played his best game in a while as well.

Yeah but he's beaten better defensemen than McNabb on more than one occasion. As a matter of fact he first skated by Doughty pretty easily. Didn't like it that neither defenseman laid a glove on him as he went right to the front of the net.

Ryan's first career hat trick was against LA, he tooled all the defenders in this video. Granted the defense wasn't what it is now (O'Donnell, Doughty, Quincey, Harrold all seen in this one) but the last goal on Harrold, I'll never forget that one.

Quick looked like shit too on all 3 goals.
