It's weird that this is already the last time the Kings are playing the Stars this season. Spezza just signed a 4 year extension with Dallas.

I see the Kings powerless play is back in action. 3 PP opportunities early and if they generated more than a single shot on goal I'll be surprised. Now they're playing catchup again. How could a team play this much different on the road than at home?

Sad period of hockey so far. 2-on-1 for the Kings not even generating a shot attempt let alone a shot on goal and down to the other end the Stars go and it's now 2-0. Dallas isn't this good! I know they aren't as bad as their home record indicates but the Kings are making them look like a Stanley Cup favorite.

Pull Quick Sutter. Dav is completely on it. Quick has lost his focus. Giving up a goal inside the last 2 seconds of a period is unsat to say the least.

On a positive note the USC/UCLA football game is a tight hard fought affair. Much easier to watch too since I really don't have a strong rooting interest.

I stand corrected by the stats. The Kings actually generated 3 shots on goal during their 3 power plays. Of course they also gave up 3 short-handed shots on goal.

those 2 PP goals by the Stars came at horrible times (not that it's ever a good time to give up a goal). The first one with 1.3 seconds left in the 1st, the second one right as the Kings had momentum and cut the lead to 4-2. Obviously Richards got the lucky bounce to cut the lead right back to 5-3, but those two goals are back breakers.
