Our main problem is we had to pick someone up in cut FA, because didn't the trade deadline end this last Sunday or Monday? So not exactly like we can make a trade to better our situation.

I am okay with our starters as long as AJ Green is healthy starting opposite Sanu, and we will eventually get Eifert back and use more two TE with Eifert spread out at WR.

We just need Green and Eifert healthy to pair with Sanu and Gresham. I wouldn't have an issue lining Bernard up outside and putting Hill in a single back formation on some plays either.

Hopefully we will not have to use Little but sparingly.

Eiffert will be back in November they say, he should be able to run and catch just fine, but I'm concerned his blocking ability will be somewhat diminished with a sore elbow, but like you say, we need him as a weapon, almost like an extra WR.

The AJ Green turf-toe problem seems more troublesome, my feeling is he's just trying to suck it up and manage the pain. he will probably come back and go to IR eventually to end the season.

Can someone tell me why we are banking our entire season on Eifert coming back? Aside from catching one seam pass vs. Baltimore (when he got injured) what has he done or shown on the field? And don't give me Jay Gruden as a reason

Amen.

Eifert is one of those guys that are fun to talk about, but then you remember that that it isn't a sure thing that he will be good.

I actually think the offense would be just fine if we got AJ back and didn't have any other injuries. Green and Sanu on the outside with Dane in the slot is not a horrible combination if our running game is working. Anything we get out of the tight ends would be gravy. Of course, if our defense is going to continue giving up 30 points per game, it's probably not going to matter anyway.

He was having the best training camp of all our skill players, and was reportedly a guy that had grown tremendously as far as understanding his position and role. I remember several people on the message boards and from analysts like Lapham (take that as you want), saying he was the most impressed with Eifert over anybody and what he was doing. During the spring, Eifert was Dalton's favorite target also.

We didn't get to see but a couple quarters of what Eifert has grown into, so wasn't much there to judge. However, it was evident Eifert had a ton of talent and deserved a 1st round pick. He has been in the system for over a year now and was prepared to be more involved in this lineup.

I am not banking on Eifert for anything, but you can't sit there and say that not having Tyler Eifert on this squad is better than having him on the field playing.

Plus, he is a mismatch for most secondary players with his size, and a lot of LB's because of his speed. Plus, he possesses one thing Gresham doesn't: good hands.

Green, Sanu, Eifert, Gresham with multiple formations that use the double TE that spreads Eifert out wide, maybe moves Bernard out wide or into the slot, etc. Lots of things the offense can do with a healthy Green and Eifert.

PS..The season is not screwed, we just need to hold on until we get a little more healthier on offense.

I was under the impression that Brandon Tate was Mr. Training Camp.

Not from the reports I heard (Lapham and others) and saw people talking about who attended training camp practices. From those people, Eifert seemed like the stand out.

I think you were thinking of Otis Hudson. That road-grader dominated the 2011 training camp like nobody before.

Then he got cut.

Listening to Lap or Butch about anything that happens in practice is absolutely useless.

Mike Williams wants to be traded out of Buffalo, not that he's any good, but he has to be better than Little or Hamilton

I'd offer the Raiders a late round pick for Denarius Moore. He hasn't had any major injuries. He's still young . He looked like a future probowler as a rookie in Hue Jackson's offense. The Raiders aren't playing him and its the last year of his deal.

Harvin would have been great but the fact that a player with his talent keeps getting traded makes me think he must be a TO level problem in the locker room

Harvin is a sociopath, like most of the other Florida players

I just checked PFT and that seems to be the case. that trade was weird. I knew something had to be up. a contender doesn't unload a playmaker midseason to a 1-6 team with a lameduck coach
