Kroneke was all in when he purchased the land and he came to these owner meetings with the goal of getting what he wants because he knew he had Goodell by the balls with a threat of a lawsuit. He is willing to spend his own personal fortune to get the Rams to LA and a few hundred million is no concern for him AT ALL!! DJ, the Rams-only-at-first-with-a-second-team-addition-later option is the one that will get passed. Kroneke wants his Rams in his stadium/entertainment center for a couple of years while he lets his potential partners writhe in their misery for the same time period. The Raiders/Chargers option was never going to happen for many of the reasons you stated. Too complicated.

As I predicted, Mark Davis is going to get a new stadium in Oakland and is going to stay there for a very long time. Moving the Raiders in with the Chargers would have killed a lot of the history and the AFC and changing things around would have really been a devastating blow to the NFL. Goodell was saving his ass by stepping in.

It'll be nice to have the option to go to a game if I want. I'll even go to a Rams game since it'd be in my old stomping grounds and I like the Rams core. I thought they had a chance to go 7-9 or 8-8 this past season (before the season kicked off). I really like their defense and Gurley.
