Yes it's 8 years but they have the option to opt out of the stadium is not top teir. So technically they owe nothing when they choose to opt out
So do you think the Dome would sit there idle and not used at all?? Come on, you cannot be that naive. In fact, if the Rams leave or get the new stadium, the Dome will actually be used MORE than it is now which will continue to generate revenue for the city. More conventions, more Supercross, more concerts, more HS football championships etc... it will more than make up for the revenue lost if no Rams games are played there.
If the dome gets used at all has nothing to do with the Rams lease agreement. The agreement has a clause in it stating after 20 years if the stadium isn't top tier per NFL standards the Rams can opt out with no penalty, thus going to year to year.
Personally I don't care if the stadium gets used or not.
