.............they could lose their first 5 and then run the table. Those first five are all teams that are either good or teams the 49ers perennially struggle with. The last eleven could all be wins.
Any given Sunday but no way we lose first five
We will start off 2-1 probably 3-2.
It would be very unlikely, I agree, but I sure do not like the look of those first 5 games.

Green Bay is dealing with some injuries and their D has looked shaky. I think we match up well against them. Indy just doesn't scare me that much. Houston in SF is manageable, especially if Foster isn't 100%. It's the road games against the West opponents that give me the most concern. Though it's looking like there's a legit chance the Hawks will be without Irvin (definite), Clemmons (likely), and Avril (possible) in that game. I really wonder how well they'll hold up without much of a pass rush.
Seattle is a tough, tough team at home; pass rush or no.
I know. That's why I said they're one of the two games that concerns me the most. I believe - almost without a doubt - that that game will be brutal. It will take a great game for us to win it. But I think we're capable of it, particularly if the three guys I mentioned are out. You're talking about 29 sacks on the sideline. That's huge. Five teams had 29 or fewer sacks total last year.
Green Bay scares me as well. Any team with Aaron Rodgers is dangerous. They'll beat the Colts, but the Rams in their house always play the Niners tough and Houston is the AFC's best team. I'm thinking four of those games could go either way. Fortunately we have two of them at home.
I don't disagree with that. Not entirely sold on Houston as the AFC's best team, but they're certainly in the conversation.
Even 2 and 3 would not really be cause for worry given the tough first 5 games and the easy next 11.
Denver?
