Also, just look at the number of recognizable people associated with the NFL that came from John Carroll University.

David Caldwell - General Manager of the Jacksonville Jaguars
Nick Caserio - Director of Player Personnel of the New England Patriots
Josh McDaniels - Offensive Coordinator of the New England Patriots
Brian Polian - Nevada Head Coach
Chris Polian - Former Vice President and General Manager of the Indianapolis Colts
Chuck Priefer - Former STs Coach of the Detroit Lions
Greg Roman - Offensive Coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers
Don Shula - Former NFL player and Hall of Fame coach
Tom Telesco - General Manager of the San Diego Chargers

*There are also a number of older NFL players from the 50s-60s who played at John Carroll but many people wouldn't recognize them.

Good player no doubt and amazing longevity but hall of fame?

If Ray Lewis is a hall of famer, then London Fletcher is also a hall of famer.

Disagree.

Not only was Lewis more of an impact player in his prime, he also had more of the "Hey look at me!" quality that people love in their sports stars. Dude was also in funny commercials. He's way more deserving of the Hall of Fame considering what the hall of fame is.

He also had a MUCH better supporting cast. And I'm not sure I agree with the impact player part.

It's always sad to see a truly special player retire, but I'm glad I got to watch him play for so long.

Next up on the retired list: Takeo Spikes?

Not sure if he is "officially" retired but he was out of football this year and I doubt a team will pick him up next year so you might as well call him retired.
