Hmm are you sure it wasn't Manson Pike over by the new hospital? I fish under the Manson Pike bridge on Stones River all the time. Yeah they're building everywhere, it's crazy. According to wiki it's one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

There were a couple things I wanted to see up that way but got held up for quite a while on I-24 on the way there cause a pickup came across from the eastbound side of the interstate and hit a charter bus which closed the westbound side til they got the wreck cleared, so I pretty much just had to come on back after I handled muh bidness.

Yeah I-24 runs through the outskirts of town. Coming up from the south, the city and everything would've been off to you're right. MTSU's campus is way on there other side of town. I mean you could've seen it, but it probably would've been a bit out of your way. Murfreesboro is located in the exact geographical center of the state, so you were smack dab in the middle of Vol country (although you'd be surprised by the lack of TN stuff).

Just found out last night while watching "Sniper Inc." on National Geographic that the Outpost Armory store I went in is owned and operated by Mr. Barrett himself (creator/designer of the Barrett 50 cal. rifle). Thought that was pretty cool.... even though his prices are high as hell. Hell, I didn't realize the Barrett 50 cal's were even manufactured in Murfreesboro til last night.
