They lost to a perennial bottom feeder in the Big 12 and are still ranked 25th...Auburn (although they are not good) won and dropped out of the rankings...I will not pay one bit of attention to anymore rankings until the BCS standings come out. :hdn:

Notice SEC teams are the only teams that can win and still drop in the polls. See 2008 Georgia or 2005 Tennessee for an example.

After you get to around #20, it is really hard to find teams that deserve to be ranked. I ranked TCU #25 because I really couldn't find anybody more deserving than them. I considering giving Iowa or USF that last spot, but USF was dominated in their game, and Iowa didn't play somebody good enough to justify a ranking. There just seems to be an especially big gap between the top 20 or so and everyone else this year.

The BCS are the only ones that matter anyway...until the middle of October I'm not going to even care who's where

Top 20, try top 15.

You've got Oregon, Ohio State and Arkansas hanging around the #13-15 spots, and then it's teams like Miss State, MSU (who I think will drop off a bit this year), Florida and West Virginia. That's a pretty clear delineation between "potential contender" teams and "tough road opponent" teams.
