The nhl is funny (and retarded). Labeling this a "retirement contract" yet Hossa's isn't (when he's signed until 42 and his last 4 years he makes 3.5 TOTAL).

i'm thrilled...SO thrilled about this. HOWEVER...how is this the ONLY ONE they've stopped? seriously! maybe it's because he's the oldest to get this...but seriously, how does the hossa one go through and not this? very similar. i'm really really happy this happened, but it should be consistant.
