Looked more like Jamarcus Russell than Cam Newton.

One game does not a season make. Led the team on the key drives to win the game.

LT will not have quite as good of a year as he did last. The RB's have no experience at all, his best WR is gone (Danny Coale). LT will still put up solid numbers, but there's no way he replicates last season.

No cupcake opponent, new starting receivers, new receivers after that after the starters went down, freshman running backs, a couple dropped balls can all make for a pretty tough opener.

He even admitted he played like garbage, but it was the first game of the year. It would be a shame if the GT game is your only opinion of him this year. He will show he's a much better qb. But in all seriousness, if he throws for 230+, 2 TDs, and 0 ints and we get the win, I could care less where he is on Mel's board.

I disagree. VT churns out productive running backs (at least at the college level) and three of the receivers that came back have experience and are very capable. The O Line should be better. I think that LT throws for more yards than last year but runs for less.

Got rattled by a very young Miami defense.
