Lions talking to Mosely again

Only 1 other team interested. He is not a Caldwell type guy, but he was just as good as Fairly last year. I think he has maybe 2 good years left. We could use another veteran DT. That would would allow us to get rid of the rest of no names. Keeping Ngata, Reid, Walker, Wright and Mosely. Thats a decent group. As most of you know I am of the opinion that DT is an expendable position and just needs to be average.

We would have too. Wright would not last 5 minutes on the practice squad before someone scooped him up.

That's what I'm getting at- how many roster spots are we going to use on D-linemen? Most teams use 8 or 9. We'd probably be looking at ten spots at least if we sign Mosley, because we have 5 DEs who will likely make the roster as well...

I wouldn't mind having Mosley back at all. We could certianly use him. I just can't imagine Caldwell wanting him. I don't believe at all that there is another team looking at him. You don't get to June unsigned if you have options. He can deny the weed incident all he wants, he got suspended and the union would have fought that tooth and nail if it wasn't true. Not that he should have been suspended for a little weed but still.

Supposedly he has more teams to see now according to his agent. I do not think the Lions ever really talked to him. Probably a rumor his agent started to draw interest from other teams.
