FA next off season, with a show me, one year deal.
his whole point is wanting more than a one year deal.
Wherever he goes. Someone will pay him. I see a 4 or 5 year deal with 3 years being realistic in the contract. he may not get as big of a deal as he would have if he got traded this year, but he will still get his guarantees he is looking for. Even if it isnt by us. it is a broken leg (is my understanding) not a knee. So I dont see it slowing him down or changing his play like some other injuries would have.

Earl is still going to get a huge deal and I imagine a strong offer from Dallas. His leg will be fine. Why would he sign a one year "show me" deal?

I believe this is the same injury as he had in 2016, and this was a no contact injury. I think it will cause teams to be cautious .

I'm reading broken tibia, same as 2016.
honestly to me as long as it isnt one of his joints I think he 100% will be good to go.
I remember when Steve Smith broke his leg. I seriously think he came back faster & stronger.

He very well could come back 100%, but breaking the same bone twice has to be viewed as a concern.

I want to laugh my ass off at them being such pricks and now they get nothing (other than he was a major reason we did not have a good game in seattle.)

That is true. I use to want an ex Colt so bad. His name was Bob Sanders. After his first two years, he got hurt every year after that. He weighed about 185, but played like he weighed 230. I used to think if he played 5 games a year, that he could single handily win 2 of them, much like Earl did to us.

I wanted Earl Thomas earlier. I’m not so sure now. He will still likely be a good player when he gets healthy. I get protecting yourself, but watching how he acted toward Pete Carroll that day vs Dallas- kind of ignoring him after the INTs- I didn’t like it.
