Ziggy was 6'5 270ish while playing. Burns wasn't and isn't anywhere close to that.

so did Dion Jordan. and Barkevious Mingo. (but I don't know either of their combine numbers and don't give a damn to know)

How'd that work out for either of them other than they're both still earning a pay check.

I remember Mingo and Jordan were skinny but uber athletic. I saw Jordan last year playing for the Hawks and looked considerably bigger than when he was drafted. Mingo and Jordan I believe were like 240lbs.

I like that Mike Weber guy. He was good from what I remember.

Also heard that Greg Little guy is talented as hell too.

Wide Receiver Predictions: NFL Combine | The Draft Network

Vertical Jump

  1. Terry McLaurin
  2. Parris Campbell
  3. Cody Thompson
Terry McLaurin was once measured at a 44 inch vertical jump while in high school, showing off explosiveness that was verified through his time at Ohio State. Counterpart Parris Campbell has been measured at 40 inches as well, with lesser-known Cody Thompson pushing the number too.

The vertical jump, like size, can expand a wide receiver’s catch radius and fix inaccuracies. This plays into winning above the rim, in the redzone or in contested spots.

Wow. He and AA should get together and have tea.

depends on how many fumbles Singletary has.

I doubt the amount that tiny hands had coming out of Brasky U.

Mock draft watch: Draft Wire's latest loads Lions with SEC talent

The latest mock draft from brother site Draft Wire extends out four rounds. The projected selections from editor Luke Easterling offer some interesting perspective on how the team’s needs and desires are viewed.

In the first round, LSU cornerback Greedy Williams gets the nod at No. 8 overall. The explanation reveals an unusually grim view of the Lions defense,

The “learning how to maximize his physical skills” is a kind euphemism for “doesn’t like to tackle” and could be a major sticking point for the Lions, but his playmaking skills at cornerback are indeed high-end.

Alabama tight end Irv Smith comes to Detroit in the second round, adding a dynamic receiving weapon with sound blocking. Smith would instantly leap to the top of the Lions’ sad TE depth chart.

Smith’s Crimson Tide teammate Christian Miller is the third round projection. An undersized (listed at 240 pounds) EDGE, Miller doesn’t appear to be a great schematic fit, though his official measurements happen later this week at the combine.

The mock wraps with Duke LB Joe Giles-Harris, a sure tackler who once turned in an outstanding game at Ford Field in the Quicklane Bowl.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Bama's OLB Christian Miller is there in 3rd or at latest 4th round that he could be the pick.

I'm seeing Miller more and more for late day 2. Lots of natural skillset to work with regarding Miller. Kind of in the mold of Kennard.

No thanks on any Bama players at the moment. They tend to be extremely over rated. Took the DT we drafted 4 years to become a respectable NFL'er. Derrick Henry is finally doing well after 3 seasons. But every year they tend to have 4-5 players drafted in the 1st round.
