Rashan Gary at #8. List becomes void automatically.

It's more about Gary's measurables and athleticism than CFB production. What can an NFL team's "expert coaching" get out of this kid.

How the mighty have fallen. I remember some on this board, wanting to use our 1st rounder on Love just last year. Now he's really a day 3 option? Amazing.

Love tore his ACL in last game of regular season 2018. He'll fall deep into day 3 imo.

Round 7 (224): Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota

This kid keeps popping up on many of the so-called under-rated list for LB. I've read many articles so far that's pretty much in line with Reno's breakdown. Reno is actually pretty good at analysis of player's but more highly towards a player's athleticism/traits and how they translate to the NFL.

Keep a very close eye on Cashman and any link to BQ/MP being interested in him. I expect there'll be some.

Previewing the 2019 NFL Combine: Studs, starters and sleepers at Tight End - nfldraftscout.com

Wesco could possibly be a double dip pick in late day 3. Kid doesn't often whiff at run or pass blocking

Third Day Sleeper: Trevon Wesco, West Virginia

A pulverizing blocker, Wesco doubles as a grave digger, leaving defenders dead in his tracks. The Mountaineers finally figured out a way to best utilize his skill-set, as he caught 24-of-26 pass targets as a senior, for 352 yards and one touchdown—he had just two catches his previous two seasons combined in Morgantown (transfer from Lackawanna Junior College). A tough, physical and borderline violent runner with the ball in his hand, his all-state high school basketball background shows up in his athleticism. He can box out a defender using his great size when making the catch and is very tough to bring down in the open field. He has gained about 50 pounds of muscle over the last few years, making him part offensive lineman, part tight end, while lining up at fullback, h-back, out wide or in the slot. A rare athletic specimen for a man of his size, while he lacks a true position, Wesco is a rare triple threat who can block, catch and run. His athleticism and physicality, to go along with his blocking and soft hands, should make it easy for an NFL team to find ways to use him.

I am absolutely stunned that Trapasso has Kentucky CB Lonnie Johnson as his #5 CB yet alone if he had listed him in his top 12.

It appears to me Trapasso values Johnson's length more than anything. If his ranking of Johnson had any merit to it then it should have shown up in Lonnie Johnson's PD/INT. imo.

Lonnie Johnson College Stats | College Football at Sports-Reference.com

Furthermore, All one would have to do is look at Johnson's play at the Senior Bowl practices and Game to see his performances were sub-par.

Johnson worked well with the teammates he had at Kentucky with Baity, West and Edwards.

He can still develop to be a nickel/dime package player but listing him at #5 overall seems to be quite a stretch. imo.

Draft players we like more than others | NFL Analysis | Pro Football Focus

In their podcast, they list Notre Dame iDL Jerry Tillery as their 2nd best iDL pass rusher (not run stopper) and 3rd overall as iDL (when healthy, Jeffery Simmons was graded #2 overall iDL).

Tillery is underrated by many and while he has lapses in effort he is still a dominant iDL. imo.

I would find it difficult to pass on Tillery in the 2nd round at #43.

He has already had NFL level coaching in college. Harbaugh was not only an NFL coach but a damn successful one at that. Not sure there can be a kid with a bigger red flag than that.
Consensus #1 overall player in HS. 3 years of NFL level coaching. Still mediocre as fuck and not even the best player on your own defense (Devin Bush). How any analyst has this kid in the top 10 is beyond comprehension.

Ranking the Top 50 Prospects Ready to Compete at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine

7. DT Ed Oliver, Houston

  1. The 6'3", 292-pound Oliver is a game-changer, not only with his play but how the position should be viewed.

Two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald can't be replicated, but he shows that traditional defensive tackles are relics. Bigger, more physical space-eaters aren't necessary. The game is trending toward lighter, more athletic penetrating interior defenders. Bulk doesn't automatically equate to power.

Oliver is an outstanding run defender after primarily playing nose tackle. In three seasons, the three-time first-team All-American accumulated a staggering 117 defensive stops, per Pro Football Focus. According to The Athletic's Bruce Feldman, Oliver power-cleans 385 pounds, squats 650 and benches 405.

The 2017 Outland Trophy winner has the strength to hold up against double-teams, but his lateral agility and linebacker-like movement skills make him lethal. Oliver's mobility projects as a dynamic 3-technique who consistently shoots gaps and creates disruption.

A lighter-than-expected version of Oliver might show up at the combine but shouldn't sway anyone's evaluation of him as an elite defensive tackle prospect.

Harbough is allegedly a QB whisperer. I haven't seen it. He isn't shit to the defense from a coaching perspective.

Gary's position coach was Greg Mattison who left U of M for Ohio State. Mattison is considered one of the very best DL coaches in the country whether it be CFB or NFL.

Hand was rated as a No.1 prospect by some outlets coming out of H.S. and he wasn't viewed as a developed player either although Hand wasn't rated top 10 coming out for the draft.

1 Mistake Each NFL Team Must Avoid Making in the 2019 NFL Draft

  1. Detroit Lions: Being Afraid to Select a Difference-Maker Despite Draft Status

It's easy to say the Lions should take whatever elite prospect falls to them at No. 8, but the reality is not that simple.

If Ohio State's Nick Bosa, Alabama's Quinnen Williams, Kentucky's Josh Allen and Michigan's Rashan Gary are off the board, Detroit could and should jump on a prospect like Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson earlier than expected. The goal is simple when selecting so high: draft a difference-maker, regardless of where they're projected to be drafted.

Exactly. 4th rounder w/upside. Perfect place to take Gary if he's available.

Yeah but isn't it interesting that he has always had some bad ass defenses though?
That SF defense with Patrick Willis was lights out.
