According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it's "fair to say" Marvin Lewis' future with the Bengals is "in doubt."
Lewis was given a new contract last year, though the deal was structured in a way that allows Cincinnati to move on from him this offseason without any financial consequences. Essentially, he's on a one-year deal with an option for 2019. The Bengals got off to a booming start this year but have dropped three straight as injuries have mounted. With close friend Hue Jackson a candidate to take over as head coach, we could see Lewis transition to a front-office role this offseason. Lewis is the league's second-longest-tenured head coach behind Bill Belichick.
