they took a hit in their first game but Gill can right them eventually. They have some serious problems over there in the athletic dept. Football will never be their first sport. Gill is a good coach and if they give him a year or two he will have them competing again
if given time, Gill will have them competitive
not saying they will be winning the big texas conference but at least not getting beat by north dakota states
with gill they could be the top of what will be left of the north, again, with time.
That's kinda the point of this post though........ With a new AD coming in, there is no reason for him to be faithful to gill and give him time........
Gill will be fine, he will get them on the right track. I am not sure when he has to play Texas and OU every year how many times he will beat them but He will get them turned in the right direction.
Turner has to be feeling some massive pressure after this last weekend.
I have not seen any highlights, but I have heard that his team just had no game plan. It is not like Turner to leave things to chance. He is a very strong leader/motivator and understands the game. This game really puzzles me???
I guess we can look at our loss last year to I.St as an aberration too, although we had 8 turnovers that kind of explains away our poor showing.
You can bet Turner is probably (in the back of his mind) wondering about Perkins departure and what is around the corner. He will not loose focus on who his next opponent is and what they need to do, but I do not believe they have the talent to beat (G.Tech).
