I knew I didn't ask this question correctly.

Here's what I was wondering, "why was he put on waivers?" Here they are trying to get into the playoffs and they're letting him go. Seems odd to me.

Teams put all kinds of players on waivers just to see if they can get them through and open up trade talks.

Yeah, I guess that's true.

But he's on irrevocable waivers. This means he's gone, doesn't it?

The Rangers once again held infielder Rougned Odor out of Sunday's lineup, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Sunday will be the fifth straight game Odor has not started due to a finger injury.

Hope he's ready to go Monday.

Hope so, but with the off day Thursday, they may keep him out of the SD series and his next start could be Friday even?

  • The Rangers were very interested in acquiring Austin Jackson “a few days ago,” but nothing came of those talks, Cafardo writes. Jackson, 28, cleared waivers last week and was said to be generating interest, though it appears that no one wanted to take the remaining ~$1.7MM salary off the Mariners‘ hands.

I can see why..... Odor, Hamilton, and Chirinos are out. 3 out of the starting 9.

Encarnacion drove in 9 runs today vs Detroit, the Jays won 15-1. That team is hammering baseballs and to think we could have taken 2 of 3 vs them

Yep, and look at the first inning today:

Donaldson homered to left.
Encarnacion homered to right.

They are hitting HR's at a rate the game has never seen before. It's a joke. Donaldson, Bautista, and Encarnacion are good hitters. They are not the greatest hitters the game has ever seen.

Those guys are so obviously juicing that it's impossible to argue otherwise. To believe that they just hit multiple HR's every single game is to believe that they are better than Bonds (roids), McGwire (roids), and Sosa (roids).

I cant argue, though all I can say is they are as hot as any lineup I can remember in awhile. Wouldn't surprise me if they all were, however

Jered Weaver sucks this year, he's given up 2 so far and the Indians have the bases loaded with 1 out. Better for the Rangers

Weaver has been declining for the last couple of seasons.

2 more HR for the Blue Jays. That's 4 HR in 3.1 innings. Totally normal.

Those guys are so obviously juicing that it's impossible to argue otherwise.

These numbers are based upon approximately 100+ more ABs.

Bautista is on pace to hit about 43, which is the same as he hit in 2011, but 11 less than 2010. He hit 35 last year.

Encarnacion is on pace to hit around 36, which is what he hit in 2013, but 6 less than 2012. He hit 34 last year.

Donaldson is the one having a career year with a pace of around 42/43 and his best year was last year at 29. But it should be noted his HR total has gone from 24 in 2013, to 29 in 2014. So if he'd increased at his current past pace he would/could have had around 35ish for this season. It should be noted he's 29 and this is an age when a lot of power hitters start really coming of age.

Now, granted they are all hitting HRs over the past few weeks at a torrid pace. But I wanna see what plays out for the rest of the season before getting too far off in the deep end myself.

Just saying.........

Look at their pace since about June though. The Blue Jays weren't even in contention in April and May. The HR's weren't flying out at insane rates then.

Most here probably don't realize just how insane it's gotten with Toronto because you don't follow their games daily. I do. I'm in 4 different fantasy leagues, 2 of which are for really big money, so I watch box scores like crazy every single day. I can tell you just how about every single run in MLB was scored each day. I've never in my entire life seen anything like what I've witnessed from Toronto over these last 2-3 months. Ever. I have never seen a team so frequently put up 10+ runs like they do. Yesterday they hit 5 HR. They've hit 4 today through 4 innings. Look at the insane runs they put up on the Angels before they played the Rangers. The Rangers "held them in check", and still they managed to crank out several HR.

I'm telling you, what's happening with that team is not normal or natural. Teams with far better hitters and far better lineups haven't put up video game numbers like this. Take away their slow start and they've got three 60+ HR guys on one team.

I know I keep beating this drum, but I'm the only one watching them on a daily basis. It's beyond belief.

You make a good point here. Being patient may produce answers we're looking for. MLB knows about this or should and hopefully they are quietly inquiring into the matter.

It's certainly not that I don't believe you. Frankly, from most of your post, I think there's every reason to respect your opinion. No smoke blowing, just my objective view.

You obviously do keep up a WHOLE LOT more than me.

Let me ask, in your fantasy leagues, is this a hot topic of conversation? B/c on any of the talk shows, radio or TV, there's not word one eluding to juicing and the Jays. At least none I'm aware of.

If they keep hitting at a level that is " off the charts" someone in the MLB office is bound to get suspicious. Let's see if they can do it in the playoffs.
