I agree there needs to be some consistency in the goalie interference calls. At least there was some contact there, but nonetheless a blown call by the ref.

I know breaking up a 2 on 1 isn't exactly considered sexy, but Lidstrom once again shows he ain't done folks. Hell of an all around game for the captain. Not a coincidence he broke the scoreless tie while Backstrom was on top of his game.

I fucked up and didn't set my DVR... only caught the first period. Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, and Franzen all look like they're heating up. That's always a good sign. Backstrom as usual looked pretty mean in net, that guy is still the most underrated goalie in the NHL, in my opinion.

Actually I think he's the Wings best option in the shootout. He scored a spin o rama in the shootout earlier this year that was very sweet.

I actually agree with that for the most part. Except against Minny. I doubt he's wrestling that title away from Datsyuk. I thought Dats was gonna pull the move he did on Harding a couple years back. Looked like Backstrom was thinking the same thing too.

lidstrom looks absolutely spectacular. it's UNBELIEVABLE how good this guy is. i know he always gets all the superlatives, but i think i've come to appreciate him even more this year. i can't count how many breakaways and two on ones he's singlehandedly broken up this year. egawd i hope he plays till 50.
