Tanaka has been posted. Will the Dodgers go all out to sign him?

Or, will the Dodgers stand pat with the basic Rotation they have and spend "Tanaka" money on extending Kershaw and Ramirez?

I think the Dodgers have more than enough money to do all of the above. Dodgers ownership is desperate to win the WS. While nothing is ever guaranteed in baseball I have to believe signing Tanaka would make winning the WS very likely.

What do you all think?

Merry Christmas!

I'm pretty sure they will advocate on acquiring Tanaka it's just a matter of how much interest they will show. I'm optimist that they will make a good effort, but look for the Yankkes, Red Sox, Rangers, Cubs to make a play.

This is something that has been taking too long now & it Concerns me that the Kersahw deal has not been done yet, Most likely the Dodgers are conceiving something, but it needs to get done before the season starts. As for Hanley I'm not too worried, he loves being in LA expect some extension to get done soon :10:

:agree: A rotation of 1.Kershaw 2.Greinke 3.Ryu 4.Tanaka 5.Haren, Is outstanding, I also like how we have worked on the bullpen so far by resigning Wilson, Howell & Adding Perez.

Teams will have a hard time putting up runs against us, it's just a matter of us staying healthy. I see a lot of W's in that win column next season & hopefully a World Series, GO DODGERS & fuck the D-Wacks :suds:

Merry Christmas everybody :suds:

We have to sign him no matter the cost. He will be the difference between winning the NL West only and the World Series. He is talented, young, hyper-competitive, healthy and arrogant. Sounds like a great fit. Lets lock down the Pacific Rim and inch closer to the World Series.

It'd be awesome to add Tanaka, but I get the feeling that the Yankees will outbid the Dodgers for him. They need him more than the Dodgers do.

Luckily, he just aligned with the same agent who represents Greinke and Kershaw and word on the street is that he prefers to be on the West Coast so I'm crossing my fingers that it works out.

Agreed. The rotation would mow anybody down. Our back end rotation would be better than most teams front end.
