All the news is out. The roster has been updated...

Law added for 26th man
Slater WAS sent down, but has been recalled to fill in for Mac
Hansen has been purchased
Melancon moved to the 60
Panik and Mac placed on DL


Ugh.

However, I am excited to see Hansen play. He killed it in ST and continued the onslaught in Sacto. I don’t think he has any options, though, so when Panik comes back, it puts the team in a bit of a bind.

Posey sits. It is a double header, but he also took that charlie horse to the thigh last night. Not sure why Longo is sitting. It almost seems like a thing to sit after a HR. Craw would be one of my LAST picks to hit #2.

Hanson is an intriguing talent, FWIW.

60-70 grade speed, plays 2B, SS and all 3 OF positions. He's only really good at 2B, but the versatility is nice. Also is a switch hitter.

Apparently, the Panik injury may be semi-serious. Boch said that he expects him to be out more than the listed 10 days.

I don’t think we are talking 60-day injury or anything remotely like that. But it may be closer to 2 weeks.

How we show some patience with him.

As much as Crawford seems ill suited for the 2 hole, McCutchen at 3 doesn't make sense either. He's historically cold in April and its no different this year. Seems having him lower would be better, but there aren't many that could replace him in that spot.

Why did Boch put out the punt lineup in this game? Stratton has looked good, but he is still essentially a rookie and could use the extra run support.

Sure Cueto DESERVES the “real” lineup, but that isn’t good for the team.

He will go AT LEAST 3. He has to. Cant make game 1 of a double header a bully game. He will wear this.
