I liked him coming out in 2008 and with the extra 5th Round pick from the Rivers trade the Bengals should make an attempt to acquire for the former 1st Round pick.

excerpt~

McKelvin was the 11th pick in the 2008 draft, so he's a holdover from an old Bills regime. And McKelvin hasn't played remotely well enough to earn a spot in GM Buddy Nix and coach Chan Gailey's long-term plans. McKelvin is entering the final year on his rookie deal. He's not getting an extension and won't be a 2012 starter, so it makes the most sense for Buffalo to move him now.

McKelvin still has talent and youth (26) on his side. Dick Jauron was Bills coach when McKelvin was drafted, and now runs the defense in Cleveland. A move like this could make the Browns more comfortable bypassing Morris Claiborne in favor of offense at the No. 4 pick. The Browns have 13 draft choices after compensatory picks were distributed, so they'll be open to wheeling and dealing. McKelvin is a right corner by nature, and a logical fit opposite LCB Joe Haden.

yeah I wouldn't mind moving him

he's been a disappointment for the most part

there are times where it seems like he might finally breakthrough and actually live up to his promise, then the season starts and he just disappoints again.

hopefully we get a 4th or 5th out of it.

I'd probably kick the tires on Leodis, but in the end I'd stick with coaching up what we have. Not many teams can roll out corners with the pedigree of our group -- These kids have long levers, catch hard, and play their best for a coach like Zimmer. I can envision several of them winning a coveted "Marvin" award.

It'll be like the UFO defense with everyone moving around. We'll have 5 DB's just lined up straight across the field and they will move to either CB or S depending on the play. Offenses won't know what to do.

In general, we love guys that have police records and the ability to be switched to a position they never played. It's the "Brown System."

Heck no!

It's a MUST!

Brown loves a good chance to play redeemer!

he fills one of the requirements but sadly it's the least important of the two, he can switch to a position he's never played but doesn't have a police record.

Guess we'll have to try to find someone else to pawn him off on.
