Colorado is the shit. I'd love to raise my family out there, and was actually considering a move three or four years ago, but I've got some deep roots around here. Tough to pull out.

I don't like the weather back home. Other than that there are things I miss.

The fucking clouds are brutal. I read a piece years ago that said NE Ohio and Western PA are the cloudiest parts of the country. It said that the Pacific Northwest gets more precipitation, but in terms of cloudy days vs sunny days, we've got the clouds.

I can understand why you're still there. Colorado is nice though. Still have yet to have what I'd call a bad winter out here. Haven't ruled out moving back to the Vegas area someday. The summer are rough but the rest of the year the weather is great.

I love the outdoors and skiing and Colorado is amazing for that stuff. They also have four true seasons and 300 or so days of sunshine a year. That's my kind of stuff.

Well, in terms of sunny vs cloudy, NE OH and CO are literally on opposite sides of that spectrum, so I could see how you'd notice that change.

The higher elevations definitely get snow. We're around 5,400. Not alotta snow yet around here.

Never had to use tire chains. Just overnight street parking bans so plows could get the entire street.

I've got a few friends who tried to convince me to move to Charlotte, and I'd say that I need the seasons. They'd say, "we have seasons!" Bullshit. Their "winter" is 55 degrees. Our summer days can hit 95 or more, and 7 degrees was as warm as it got for about ten days a week ago - those are fucking seasons.

I'm with you there. I do not enjoy Houston or Dallas. I've had some absolutely great times in the middle of nowhere Texas, but I wouldn't want to live there.
