League considering eliminating extra point

The NFL is considering eliminating the extra point. The proposal is , to make every TD count for 7, make what you used to be the two point conversion into an extra point by running a play as opposed to kicking - except, if you fail on it your score drops down to 6.

I am with the idea of making the TD count for 7 but not with the idea that if you fail the two point conversion that your score go back to 6. You either scored or failed on the attempt but dont take away points. That is just too much.

I hope they consider my idea.

What I am not sure of is if they will eliminate the FG also.

I think the idea is that right now if you go for two and fail you end up with 6 points so they want to keep that intact. You also end up with 8 points if you make it. I don't mind it as the extra point is a waste of everyone's time. FG's will stay has nothing to do with that.
