BJGE is still a major upgrade for us.

I truly believe white boy Bengal could've been a 3-4 year "great one" if only they would have let them play. Leonard.

Really? He sure has me fooled then.

He's averaging 3.5 ypc vs 3.9 ypc for Benson last season.

He's on pace to more than double Benson's fumbles from last season.

He's on pace to score 2 more TD's than Benson last season.

He's averaging a whopping 5 more ypg than Benson last season.

I'll still take him over Benson - maybe just because Benson isn't a likable guy - but he's been far from any kind of upgrade, let alone major.

and considering the defenses we've beat weren't all that great.

BJGE needs to show us some stuff before we can legitimize letting him be the work horse for 3 whole years.

*yawn*

I've never - not before, not now - advocated taking a RB early so based on the premise of your original post, the "bait" couldn't have been for me.

Nice "out".

Oh and btw, the irony of BJGE's #1 fan calling someone else "wrong" about RB's is hilarious in and of itself.

1. He hits the hole quickly. Doesn't dance in the backfield and take stupid losses.

2. He is a better blocker than Benson.

3. He is a better short yardage back than Benson.

4. He isn't a huge moron and distraction like Benson was.

5. While he isn't LT out of the backfield he is decent receiving.

They both suck. Does it matter if one sucks a little less?

On a side note, having watched 3 Packer games, we really should have used him as a receiver out of the back field more. He has looked good doing it for the Packers so far. I still hate him.....

A great team and franchise wanted Benson. The worst franchise in all of sports didn't.

Need we say more?

1. He might hit the hole quicker, but he's averaging 3.5 YPC. Against bad teams.

2. I heard he was a good blocker and he definitely made one great play in the Redskins game. He also made a terrible attempt in Baltimore. Regardless, if your number 2 reason why he's 'better' is his blocking, that doesn't say much.

3. Kramer is a better short yardage back than Benson - That's not saying much. On Sunday, I watched the 'better' short yardage back fail to punch it in from the 1 yard line twice.

4. Yes, he's not a huge moron and that's a good thing.

5. I haven't seen any evidence that he's a good receiver.

You can say all these things are true, but they haven't translated to the field. He's been a below average back. Just like Ced.

Green Ellis is a fucking bum. No, we won't be drafting any RB's that are worth a damn, either. We're stuck with the same old shit. Yep, it's a Bengals team. I miss the shuttle passes....

Maybe we can trade up to the #1 overall pick this next year and draft Ki-Jana Carter!
