Don't see how this game gets made up...it either goes down as a tie, no-contest (so each team will effectively only play 16 games), or a Bengals win (leading at the time of stoppage).

NFL should probably have better clarification in place for when something like this does occur on how the outcome is decided....

Prayers for Damar his family and all those players and coaches who observed the medical actions on the field.

It's one thing to see a player concused or suffer a terrible break.

It's a totally different expirence to see someone you know and love being adminstered CPR. Then use an AED to attempt to restart the heart or get the heart into a normal rhythm. At that time it sinks in you are looking at someone who is close to death.

Prayers for all the medical professionals who were/are involved in this very unfortunate event.

Agree, but it’s going to be very difficult to re-program that game. His health is most important now, but as bad as it sounds, the show must go on?
I hear ya but listening to Ryan Clark there's no way these players are going out there in the next few days. I have to agree with him. Especially if the young man is still fighting for his life in the hospital. You would think the league would have a set protocol for situations such as this.

But how though? If you make it a tie, you essentially screw both teams out of playoff seeding and the Chiefs benefit the most as they become the 1 seed automatically.

What are the possible outcomes of tonight’s tragedy? Above all, for Damar’s family.

That is not a bad idea. Annul the game as a measure of respect, even it affects the teams. They made the decision to postpone, and I believe it was the right one.

I hear ya but I don't think the Bills really give a rats ass about this now. Those guys can't go out there and play a game in the next few days.

Sadly, they might have induced a coma to try avoid any brain damage from lack of oxygen. If that's the case, it might be a few days before anyone even knows much.

That is very mature and great opinion. Kudos.

I just don't see how you can make the players especially on Buf play the game this week. Games not as important as the young man.
For once they did the right thing, but you could tell from the delay in canceling the game they were trying to make the game still happen.

I do wonder how the NFL handles the scheduling from this point. Without needing to say it, Damar's life is the biggest concern, I'm guessing even the NFL brass might agree on that. But you can't put a break in the schedule to let things sort out. How does seeding fall with a potential 'tie' between Cincy and Buffalo? I don't see any way there is a make up game, and damn, no idea how the Buffalo players get in the mode for week 18, let alone the playoffs.

Regardless, prayers our there for Damar. Way too damn young for him or his family to be dealing with this.

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be shocked if the NFL had scenarios in place for this. If X happens, determine if Y can happen or if it would be better to go with option Z....

The best decision would probably be a tie, fairer for both teams. Nobody expected this, unchartered territory.

I'm not going to be upset at any of the above outcomes....the NFL will need to revamp this rule going forward, and it is shocking that they don't already have something in place considering the violent nature of the game.

In the end - this is about Hamlin and his life...everything else will work itself out.
