Larry Johnson to OSU

Larry Johnson is reported going to OSU. This is horrible news for us and the rest of the Big10. I bet Holley decommits and follows him to OSU.

If he does, then he's the enemy and I wish him nothing but the worst. If he takes a lateral move because he is butt hurt about not getting a job he wasn't qualified for then so be it, he's 62 and winding down his career. If holley goes, he goes, we'll be fine in recruiting, not worth bending over backwards for a coach to keep one kid....big picture.....sit back and watch Franklin/Spencer recruit for a full cycle.

Well, I'd prefer shoop over LJ as DC, so it leaves 1 spot for 2 guys. LJ was offered first and turned his back on it. NOt like he was forced out

amnd he took a lateral move to leave, he's not DC at OSU if that's where he lands. Shoop is a gerat DC, I'm very happy wuith the way this staff is shaping up.

LJ is from my part of MD so I am sorry to seem him go. I agree if he leaves for a lateral position at in the red camp then see ya later dude. The school hired the right man for the job and I am as excited as I have been in a long time about Penn State football.

Exactly. if he were being offered a promotion, so be it, but its just because he didn't geta job he wasn't qualified for.

Funny thing is, all the OSU fans would refer to him as a very dirty recruiter, phony guy and racist, can't wait to hear them change tunes now. We'll be fine with spencer, not like we have chopped liver. Young guy with ton of energy and very good DL coach.

Good luck Larry. He may have left because he just doesn't like Franklin and won't work for him. Going to OSU this year might not be quite lateral and I'm sure LJ senior didn't wan to go too far, hence OSU. Sucks.

he left because he didn't get promoted and felt after all his time here he deserved it. He certainly wasn't qualified for HC and I'd prefer a guy with experience as a DC like Shoop.

I think after 16 seasons he deserved a promotion not to HC but at least give him 1yr at DC. How would you feel if you never got promoted after 16yrs at your job? Its not like he wasn't good at his job in fact he was pretty good at it. People kept getting hired over him and he had enough so to get back at PSU he went to OSU where his departure would hurt PSU the most. I thank him for all his hard work but I don't wish him well at his new job.
