I think Fitz came up to Tacoma to play in Sherm's charity softball game last summer. The two must know each other and have some mutual respect for that to happen.

I was gonna go to that with some friends, but was sick and had to miss it. Hopefully it becomes an annual thing so I can catch it next year.

Even though I doubt it would happen I think the Cards would be wise to trade Fitz for picks and try to rebuild that offense.
He will near retirement by the time they are ready to compete. Even if they get a good QB next year, the offensive line has to be rebuilt. Rarely done in less than two seasons. Generally 3-4 and they still have no run game either.

That defense is champsionship caliber IMO, great front seven and guys on the back end like Peterson and Matheiu should be good for a while. This team scares me more then the Rams at this point so if they get that offensive situation figured out they will be a force.

For some reason the guy does not scare me. All you hear is how he is a hall of famer and if he only had a QB etc...i don't see it. At no point last night did I think ,oh man we have got to watch out if Larry gets loose in the open field ,never. He is having a decent season but hall of famer? I don't get it...
