I didn't think Gasol was that bad last night. He was working hard on defense against Dwight. And his PnR work on offense helped open up the perimeter shooters. He didn't shoot well, but contributed to the win in other important aspects of the game.

^^^^THIS^^^^

When haters talk about Kobe not shooting well in some games, we Lakers fans defend him by pointing out the other things he did well. Defense, rebounds, etc.

How about we give Pau the same respect? The man helped us win 2 championships and has always done EVERYTHING that this organization has asked of him and normally without complaint.

It really bothers me when I see fellow Lakers fans trash him, call him Gasoft, demand he be traded, etc. Seems to me that he's taken for granted by many fans and may not receive proper respect and credit until after he's gone.

Gasol was really terrible tonight. Couldn't shoot, catch a pass or run the floor. When Kaman and Gasol are on the floor together the team should look for Kaman as first option between those two. Also Kaman should start at center always. Henry sucked. Young needs to drink some coffee before the games. His passes are slow, telegraphed and sloppy. The starting bench is better than the starters. Notice that?

The bench plays with a lot more energy . Gasol does need to pick up his game. Maybe he and Young should drink more coffee.

I understand trying to avoid being hack-a-Dwighted, but smiling and laughing while trying to avoid it? I'm not sure how happy I'd be if I'm Harden, who was killing the Lakers, having to watch Dwight laughing in this situation only to keep missing free throws and eventually losing the game. Dwight gave the old "I'll get back to work in the gym...they'll start falling" rhetoric. Heard that a few times last season.

Every team is going to do this now if the game is close. Wonder what James Harden has to be thinking.

Just like they did to the Lakers last year. Funny thing is, as Dwight was missing 7 of 11 free throws in the 4th quarter, I kept laughing to myself and remembering how Steve Nash offered to help him with his free throw shooting and he said: "No thanks"!!

After all, what does a career 90%+ free throw shooter know about shooting free throws?

This fool still believes he is a good basketball player. Maybe on the defensive end of the floor but he takes very little seriously and that giggling and laughing at the end when he was being fouled is the same little boy Dwight that we watched all last year. Then he goes on a missing free throws tear and everyone in Houston is soooo surprise. Damn idiots. Nothing has changed and eventually teams will tire of this pathetic immature asswipe that is masquerading as a big in the NBA!!

Steve Kerr and Charles Barkley on Dwight:

Steve Kerr: He said that Dwight's off-season work with Hakeem Olajuwon has "not paid off yet" and that as a 10 year veteran he is still a work in progress despite being "a long way into his career". He also said that the Lakers might be lucky to have not signed Dwight to a max deal. "In the long run it's going to be best for the Lakers. I don't think they were going to be able to build a championship team with Howard and his huge contract".

Charles Barkley: He called the Rockets half-court offense "horrible" and said that Howard still doesn't know how to post up. "He just holds his hand up and says 'Throw me the ball'. He doesn't use any leg action".

Anyone else remember certain "experts" on these boards telling us how great Dwight was going to be since he'll be able to work with Olajuwon and since McHale knows how to coach bigs?

Apparently, D'Antoni and Kobe weren't Dwight's problem. It seems that Dwight's problem is Dwight.
